Delivery & Shipping Policy – Unika Design ApS

At Unika Design we provide estimated delivery times and keep you updated throughout the process. Please note that delivery times are indicative – the actual schedule may be shorter or longer than stated. Final delivery date and time slot are agreed directly with the transport company.

1. General Delivery Times

  • Workshop adjustments (e.g., handmade table legs): 2–3 weeks

  • Made-to-measure plank tables: 4–6 weeks

  • Made-to-measure epoxy tables: 12–16 weeks

You will typically receive:
✔️ A message 2 days before delivery
✔️ A 4-hour time window the day before
✔️ Live tracking by SMS on the delivery day (usually 08:00–18:00).

2. Delays & Force Majeure

Unexpected events (e.g., workshop accidents, transport disruptions, customs, weather, or illness) may delay delivery. If this happens, we will always try to save your order or, if necessary, produce a new one under the same terms.

3. General Shipping Conditions

  • We work with external carriers who handle transport, delivery, and storage.

  • If you cannot receive your order, we can usually arrange storage – please notify us in advance (e.g., if you are on holiday).

  • Delivery estimates may be affected by external factors beyond our control.

  • Our tables are heavy. Delivery is normally to curbside only. Carrying inside, upstairs, or assembly can often be arranged for an additional fee.

  • If packed in a protective wooden crate, we recommend unpacking before carrying inside, as the crate itself may weigh as much as the table.

  • Delivery is limited to addresses on the Danish mainland and connected islands. Please contact us for non-bridge islands.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring access (e.g., doors, staircases, driveways). If access is not possible, any additional costs for re-delivery or storage will be charged.

4. Special Delivery Needs

If you require extra help (e.g., delivery to upper floors in apartment buildings), please contact us in advance. We can often arrange this for an additional fee.

5. International Deliveries

We ship worldwide. Please note:

  • VAT, customs duties, and handling fees may apply and are the responsibility of the customer.

  • Our webshop automatically calculates VAT, but we recommend verifying the calculation and import rules in your country.

  • We work with different carriers internationally, so delivery methods and experiences may vary.

Delivery times are indicative only and not legally binding. We cannot guarantee a specific date or time, as this depends on the carrier’s route planning. Unika Design is not liable for delays or inconvenience caused by carrier changes, missed communication, or failed delivery. However, we will always do our best to assist if problems occur.
